• Chalk Mapping and Hands-On Education Your horse's back is outlined with chalk to mark the saddle support area, reflex points, and sensitive areas. You will learn how to feel your horse's back, recognize muscle changes, and understand what to look for going forward.
• Saddle, Pad and Cinch Evaluation Your current saddle is assessed in detail including wither clearance, shoulder angle and freedom of movement, rock, saddle length, back bar angle, and balance. Your pad and cinch are reviewed as well, because saddle fit is never just about the saddle alone.
• Rider Assessment How the saddle is working for you matters too. We look at seat balance and position, hip and pelvis alignment, and how subtle fit issues may be affecting your comfort and your horse's movement.
• Movement Assessment (when applicable) When helpful, your horse is observed without tack to establish a baseline, then compared to how they move under saddle. This can reveal a lot that a static evaluation alone may miss.
• Wither and Shoulder Tracings and Measurements Tracings and measurements are taken to document your horse's conformation and to assist with future saddle shopping.
• Saddle Recommendations Based on your horse's conformation, your riding discipline, and your budget, you will receive specific recommendations for saddle brands, styles, and features to look for.
• Comprehensive Written Report with Photos A full written report documenting everything we covered, including photos taken throughout the evaluation. This is yours to keep and reference as your horse changes over time.

Written reports and photos are delivered within one week of your evaluation date.
